Press Conference in Germany
At the 13th of July the Project Managers and CEO's of SOLARWATT, dena (German Energy Agency) and Solarsysteme Sachsen GmbH met in Dresden / Saxony to present their Solar Roof Project Malaysia and to held a press conference afterwards.
With pictures of the Grand Opening Ceremony in Sabah / Malaysia and of the training with the students from the St. Michael School in Penampang the two responsible companies - Engineering Consultancy for Renewable Energy Systems Dipl. - Ing. (FH) Siebert and Solarsysteme Sachsen GmbH - presented their Solar Roof Project Malaysia with traditional music of the native people of Borneo. This Project is part of the worldwide "dena Solar Roofs Programme" coordinated by the Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena) - the German Energy Agency - and co-financed by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) within the initiative "renewables - Made in Germany".
The consul of the consulate general of Malaysia, Mr Zain, praised the role model of the German energy politics worldwide. Malaysia introduced a Feed-In-Tariff based on the German model and hopes of an equally strong increase in energy from renewable energy sources. He emphasized that skilled workers are necessary to meet the appropriate quality standards.
Solarsysteme Sachsen already offers trainings courses to train photovoltaic experts in the malaysian and european market. Mrs Radisch-Siebert is a TÜV-certified expert for photovoltaics and has many years of experience in the field of renewable energy systems. Shortly she will be also gaining the ISO certificate and thus can offer another international certification.
For SOLARWATT the participation in the dena Solar Roof Programme offers the possibilty to realise reference systems in Asean markets, the CEO Mr Neuhaus said. The established contacts will help to enter the market. The company SOLARWATT already secured new competitive advantages through their change of production line to glass-glass-panels and the new designed carport in cooperation with the BMW electric cars.
